me and my why.
I’m a creative, which is one of those things you say about yourself only when you have to.I came up professionally as an advertising copywriter and have spent the last five years — give or take depending on when you find this page — as a creative director.
Most of the professional insights you need to know about me you can find in my résumé, so here I’ll just leave you with a little bit about why I do what I do, this thing called advertising.
I love people. I love learning about what makes them tick, what motivates them, where their passions lie, what makes them feel good about being them. And I love connecting with that. Obviously in this business there is an underlying commercial motive in making these connections. But what makes it more than transactional for me is the belief that, if I’m doing my job right, the people with whom I’m connecting have found something in what I’m creating that makes them feel better about who they are. And that makes me feel better about who I am.
